Meditation Sessions
Wellbeing Team organised midweek meditations for Stress Awareness month (April)

What We Did:
We paused the midweek rush with a relaxing, campus-wide Meditation Session, giving students and staff the opportunity to reset, refuel, and reconnect with oneself. Here's how it happened:
Guided meditation sessions: We held brief, beginner-friendly sessions led by our Wellbeing Team to help everyone calm down, breathe deeply, and stay present.
Mindfulness in Action: Attendees learnt easy mindfulness practices that students may utilise at any time, including before exams, during stressful situations, and to start the day well.
Calm Zone: Our meditation space has been transformed into a serene retreat, complete with soft lighting, mats, cushions, and soothing music.
Take-Home Tools: Everyone went home with a tiny pack of mindfulness resources, which included breathing exercises, writing questions, and links to meditation applications.
Space to Reflect We encouraged open discussion following each session, inviting reflections, questions, or simply sitting silently with others.
Why It Matters
Making space for silence during schedules and deadlines can have a significant impact. This event focused on increasing mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being—one breath at a time.
Looking ahead:
We appreciated seeing so many of you prioritising your health. Whether you're new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner, we have more events and mindfulness moments coming up shortly.
Stay grounded and connected! See you at the next session!
